When Should You Do Your GRE Test Prep Online
When Should You Do Your GRE Test Prep Online GRE/MAT Graduate School Blog There are two different ways to think about the concept of doing your GRE test prep online: 1) working with an online GRE tutor and 2) enrolling in an online GRE prep course. In this article, weâll focus on the idea of working with an online tutor. When most people consider hiring a GRE test prep tutor, they still think of meeting someone face-to-face. In fact, here atMyGuruwe estimate that 9/10 people request an in-person tutor specifically, and when we donât have one available, 1, maybe 2, agree to do trial session online. It just seems that people, in general, arenât that comfortable with online GRE tutoring. That said, in the last several years it is still true that online tutoring has become more and more commonplace, so if you are thinking of hiring a tutor to help you prepare for the GRE, looking for a tutor online is an option you will likely want to consider. Here are some of the factors you will probably want to take into account when determining if doing your GRE test prep tutoring online makes sense for you. How up to speed are you with technology? Do you have a webcam, microphone, and reliable Internet connection? Do you already use Skype to chat with friends and family? If so, you will most likely have little to no difficulty working with a tutor online. In fact, if youâre a regular Facebook user, you probably have the tech savvy to receive GRE tutoring online. Here are some online meeting and tutoring platforms to check out for yourself: www.webex.com www.gotomeeting.com www.eprof.com www.scribblar.com How full is your schedule? Would it be easier for you to fit intravellingto meet with a tutor outside your home, or getting in front of a computer and meeting one online? Many students are surprised at just how convenient online tutoring really is. A 20 minute car ride is more than a 20 minute car ride if you canât find your keys, you hit traffic on the way, you get pulled over, etc. Have you tried looking for an in-person tutor? Were you able to find one who is in your area, is available when you are, and is a good fit for you? In general, if you remove the in-person constraint, itâs easy to find an expert tutor whoâs a perfect fit, since you have, literally, the entire world to pull from, vs. a 10-20 mile radius around your home. How tight is your budget? When you widen your search outside of your immediate area, selection goes up and so does value. Online tutors are more likely to be full-time professionals, and don't have to factor travel costs into their overhead. AtMyGuru, we typically charge 15% less for online tutoring. So, the exact same tutor, providing the same instruction, costs significantly more in-person than online. MyGuru'sservices include online GRE Test Prep tutoring from some of the best tutors available, so if you would like to find out how we can help you, be sure to get in touch with us today. Instructor Spotlight Lillian Brijeski
Instructor Spotlight Lillian Brijeski Instructor Spotlight: Lillian Brijeski Lillian Brijeski, Instructor of Kumon Math and Reading Center of Tarrytown This July, Lillian Brijeski is celebrating her sixth anniversary as the Instructor of Kumon Math and Reading Center of Tarrytown. Over the past six years, Lillian has inspired the young students in this small village town along the Hudson River, and continues to find ways to maintain their motivation and build their self-confidence. Lillianâs passion for education and strengthening studentâs ability started long before Kumon. For over 12-years, she shaped the minds of 3rd and 4th grade students as an elementary school teacher. She was first introduced to Kumon when she enrolled her two young children. âI enrolled my children in Kumon when my son was in kindergarten, and my daughter was in the first grade. As an educator, I immediately fell in love with the Kumon Method,â said Lillian. âRight from the start, my children started experiencing the benefits from the program. I knew that I wanted to make a difference in the lives of Kumon Students.â With deep-seeded roots in education, she knew she wasnât ready to turn her back on teaching forever; however, she wanted a change and an opportunity to grow as an educator. Taking a leap of faith, she left the classroom to join Kumon and to give other children the opportunity to develop their abilities just as her own children did. âSince I began my Kumon journey as a parent and now as an Instructor, there have been so many monumental moments,â said Lillian. âWhen my daughter Ana completed the Kumon Reading Program before entering high school, it solidified that itâs possible and that all students can achieve the same success. Moments like this turn success into reality.â What is it about being an Instructor you enjoy the most? I really enjoy being able to place students in their right level and move them at a pace that works for them. The individualized approach avoids having to rush a student or hold them back. What is the most valuable lesson youâve learned as a Kumon Instructor? Patience. Can you describe an instruction moment where you made an impact on a student? These moments tend to really happen when my students are first introduced to division. The question that I ask them that always gets them is, âhow many fit?â I immediately see a light bulb go off and they just get it. Itâs remarkable how excited they feel when they can solve something on their own and have the confidence in their own ability. What do you like to do in your spare time? I actually really enjoy doing Kumon worksheets on my own! I find it as my own time to take a moment and âgo back to school.â Iâve always loved reading, so I feel like I am further expanding my knowledge with the Kumon Reading Program. What is a fun fact about you that people may not know? I really enjoy getting outside for some fresh air â" especially hiking with my dog! Tempe~An Education and Employment Mecca in the West`s Most Western Town
Tempe~An Education and Employment Mecca in the West`s Most Western Town The Grand Canyon State extends to folks a fifty square-mile community known as Tempe, AZ, a hinterland of Phoenix, located southeast of the State Capital. Over one-hundred-and-sixty-thousand locals take pleasure in experiencing Tempes sectarian surroundings, which are next to big-city conveniences. This Phoenix burb offers loads of distinguishable communities; Arizona State University is in North Tempe, and itâs seriously occupied by college students. South Tempe is much less busy, having more free-space and producing a more family-friendly quarter. After the establishment of Fort McDowell on Arizonas Salt River Valleyâs eastward border, resourceful agriculturalists relocated into the community in the mid 1800s. Seventy years later, the Roosevelt Dam promised sufficient clean water to satisfy the populationâs thriving demands, and a brand-new urban area was formed. A university appeared in north Tempe during the late fifties, in addition to the Fiesta Bowl and the Arizona Cardinals. In the early eighties, Tempes, Mill Avenue, was rejuvenated into a leisure and shopping neighborhood, which drew in customers from all over the valley. Today, the Mill Avenue District engages countless suburbanites at many of its finest-dining establishments and shopping hotspots, which offer loads of casual and first-class eateries and plenty of low-scale and high-end retail store shops throughout the neighborhood. Tempeâs locals do boast that the city not only allows them to remain within their budgets, but also permits them to balance work and fun, easily, through Tempeâs many weekend activities; natives can gather for some fun rivalry action at one of Arizona State Universityâs collegiate games. The metropolitan areas joblessness rate is nearly two-scores below the national standard, given that Tempes leading two employers, Arizona State University and the Maricopa Community College District, hires over sixteen-thousand people. Other major Tempe companies include Wells Fargo, Safeway and the Salt River Project. Education and learning are the flux-capacitor of this citys superb scholastic benefits with Arizona State University, the largest campus in the United States by enrolment, in its hub. The metropolis publicizes excellent academic training and modest unemployment levels, for folks attracted to top quality learning opportunities with prosperous careers following graduation. Arizona State University registers more that sixty-thousand students, granting Bachelors, Masters and Ph.D. courses. Colleges and Trade Schools in the area consist of two-and-four-year, focused learning opportunities at the University of Advancing Computer Technology; New Horizons Computer Learning Centers; Rio Salado College; Arizona School of Massage Therapy; and Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine and Health Sciences. According to Degree Jungle, one of the countrys leading web-based institutions, the University of Phoenix, also labels Tempe, Arizona, its home. Likewise, the adjoining, Maricopa Community College District, offers intrigued students degrees or transfer credits at any one of its ten accredited colleges. Two-year, higher-education institutions in Tempe also make available tailored, workforce instruction-and-development programs for neighborhood businesses; certificates of completion are l provided in assorted work-related areas as well. In addition to all this, Tempeâs eight public high schools; four public middle schools; and eighteen public elementary schools lead the state in test scores. In all, the Tempe Elementary School District teaches over twelve-thousand kids all year, and it works with over eight-hundred educators to perform the job; thus, the citys modest student-to-teacher ratio suggests that youngsters are vulnerable to obtain superior learning.
Real Chemistry - How Childrens Games Can Teach Chemistry
Real Chemistry - How Children's Games Can Teach ChemistryReal Chemistry is a new chemistry game that many people have been waiting for, especially kids. The first time I saw this game I thought it was just a throwaway game at an online store but then I saw some other games with the same concept. The easy way to see the obvious impact that this game has on children is simply by watching the reviews of other children's games. Most of the reviews are positive and fun. These are not reviews of Real Chemistry however, they are more about these games that claim they can teach kids how to make their own fake compounds and how to use them to learn about chemical reactions. This game teaches kids the fundamental principles of chemistry. You begin the game by choosing from different colors. These colors signify a reaction between two or more compounds. The colors are blue, green, yellow, red, white, black, brown, and orange.Orange is a compound of oxygen and hydrogen. This is the basic molecule that makes up everything from water to chocolate. Oxygen and hydrogen are usually two compounds that cannot mix together but this can be changed by adding something else.Your goal is to mix your compounds into one of the seven different colors and you will also need to mix two other colors together to make a colored mixture. The reaction that will take place is based on the number of molecules that you have created in your mix. For example, if you want to make a brown colored mixture, you should try to mix more than the amount of orange molecules you started with.Once the game is over you will notice that the changes in color will be apparent on the yellow compound, orange and red. But don't worry too much, you can always go back and re-do your mix if you think you made a mistake and change it to something else. The game also gives the opportunity to create a one-of-a-kind reaction that can only be found in the game. It's fun to see what you can come up with when the color combinatio ns are chosen carefully. It's also a good way to introduce your child to chemistry without making a chemical bomb out of the most common elements.
Are You Looking For a Math Tutor For Algebra Free Online?
Are You Looking For a Math Tutor For Algebra Free Online? You can get a math tutor for algebra free online. With the exception of perhaps a first-year calculus or first-year Algebra course, most people don't really need that much help with their calculus homework. However, even in math, there are many different approaches to solving problems, so getting a teacher to show you how to do it yourself can be really helpful. It may seem silly at first, but without some sort of professional tutor for algebra, you could find yourself looking at more textbooks than you actually need, and that can have some consequences. I think the first year calculus course, or even the first-year Algebra course, is really a given. I mean, how can you learn calculus unless you're doing it in a very structured way?If you do need a math tutor for algebra, you have a couple of different things you can do. The first thing is, I don't know, give up on taking the course and finding another one at the same time. That seems a little weird, but I know a lot of people who have, and then they end up never taking any of the future calculus courses, because they get bored with the pace. Plus, they don't like spending money, which means that they need some sort of intervention.Another thing you can do is try to find a math tutor for algebra free online. However, this does have some caveats, because some math tutors aren't exactly what you would call a pro. In other words, they're not necessarily giving you a free pass when it comes to math. There are usually some strings attached, like a strict pace and not talking about your grades or your future calculus courses. If you can find a tutor for algebra free online who is willing to do this sort of thing, then you can certainly give it a shot.On the other hand, if you are using the internet to look for a math tutor for algebra free online, you may want to know some details about the person you are going to work with before you sign up. Especially if you ar en't sure what your expectations will be, make sure the person you are working with is well trained. This will help you avoid future problems, especially if you have enough motivation to complete the tutoring.
